Today on Flickr I saw a photo of Ibises. These are big birds that were sacred in ancient Egypt, but the photo was taken in Australia. All of a sudden it reminded me of the short story in 9th grade literature class that we had to read called "The Scarlet Ibis" by James Hurst. I will never forget that story! I cried after reading it
so I'm sort of spoiling the plot already, but if you get the chance to read it, by all means, do so. I found it by going to Ask.com and looking it up. They have the whole short story on there, you have to scroll down a little to find it, but once you find it, read it. You will never be the same!

About Me

My photo
I can be very social, but then a recluse. I like my privacy when I'm working in my flower garden. I like to meditate there with God and the birds and the flowers. I love animals, all God's creatures and I can't stand people that abuse them! I strongly urge anyone that wants a pet to adopt from your local animal shelter. There are many loving animals that are at shelters waiting for a loving home. You can find me most of the time on Flickr where I have a photostream!
