Beatiful photos, Marlene! Telephoto lenses are not always the best. Unless one can afford the kind that cost $1000 and have F 2.0 or F 2.8, the ones I have had just are not fast enough to do the job. You do a great job the way it is; they are interesting photos because they OBSERVE, a telephoto would be INSIDE the photo, which is good too, but just different. Do you know what I mean? These lovely nature / observer photos are kind of your style now, and they are lovely and beautiful as is!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sharon!! Well then, maybe I DON'T need one!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and a wonderful week!
Love and hugs,

There is a priest on the Rez that is one of my contacts, and I got all excited because I saw he was using a F 2.0 telephoto, and he has the same camera as I do. Well, I found out that lens cost somewhere in the ballpark of $1300, and I knew I was completely daydreaming!
ReplyDeleteIf I ever have as much as $1300, we're taking a trip!
Lova Ya, sis!
Sharon
Thanks so much for that info, Sharon! Since then I have decided I have what I need! I'm learning more and more about my camera and I've had it over a year! LOL! Still more stuff to learn about all the "bells and whistles!" For example, there's a setting called "Sports" and I found it's great for when I take photos of the cats because they move around so much, it slows the shutter speed and I can get a bunch of great photos of my cats doing different things without it being blurry. Next I'm going to try it out on photos of birds! duh! I don't know why I didn't think of that before! lol! I guess I thought I actually had to be at a sporting event! LOL!!! Anyway, it's great for taking photos say, like if you're riding in a car and you see something really pretty but you want to get a "still" of it, just put your camera (if it's a Nikon Coolpix) to the "sports" setting and you can get some really great "stills" even while riding down the road! I love this particular setting because in nature everything is always moving! lol On a fancy camera, you adjust the "shutter speed" but I like the way the Nikon Coolpix makes it easy for "camera dummies" like me! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, my other Sister!
Love ya!

PS I think it's great, I have two wonderful "adopted" sisters now, you and Lynn! I love ya both! :-)
