This weekend is Easter weekend for many Christians, this past week, Passover
for Jews. Tonight for Christians is the remembrance of the Last Supper of Jesus, the Christ. It's a time of deep comtemplation on what was to happen to Him the following day, Good Friday. After the Passover supper with His disciples, they follow Him to Gethsamane, a garden, where Jesus struggles with his fears and prays, knowing he will be arrested and crucified. The unbearable anguish that Jesus must have felt, would be overwhelming to most of us, most of us would have said, "I'm not going through this, it isn't worth it!" and ran. But not Jesus. He stood His ground knowing that the weight of all that he had taught to his disciples and the world hung on this night and the next day. It has been documented by many doctors, that when in the Bible, blood came from Jesus forehead while he was praying, he was suffering a heart attack. Many of us have been through frightening times and moments of decisions, our Gethsemanes. Let us remember what our Master went through,
and realize that what he taught and demonstrated to us, we should at least remember his suffering for us. Let us take time out from all the noise, and distractions of the day, and remember Him. Tonight and into the weekend and rejoice in His resurrection on Easter Sunday. His resurrection is our resurrection into the newness of Life everlasting!

About Me

My photo
I can be very social, but then a recluse. I like my privacy when I'm working in my flower garden. I like to meditate there with God and the birds and the flowers. I love animals, all God's creatures and I can't stand people that abuse them! I strongly urge anyone that wants a pet to adopt from your local animal shelter. There are many loving animals that are at shelters waiting for a loving home. You can find me most of the time on Flickr where I have a photostream!
