The Old Tree by Lauralynn My poem

There is a beautiful poem that goes along with this photo from a friend of mine who is like my sister:
Tired I am, Tired I may be, But there's many
more years, I hope to see. So talk to me
when you walk by me, I don't want to be an
old forgotten tree. I hear your voice and see
your love, When you put the seed there, for
the friendly dove. The birds are safe among
my limb, They build their homes in leaves
within. I have a reason to live on you see.
There's a reason why God created me. I'm
here for you to keep you cool, In the hottest
days above your pool. I care for you, I love
you too. So keep us safe there are so few.
We want to live, we want to be, Because
thats why God created me.

About Me

My photo
I can be very social, but then a recluse. I like my privacy when I'm working in my flower garden. I like to meditate there with God and the birds and the flowers. I love animals, all God's creatures and I can't stand people that abuse them! I strongly urge anyone that wants a pet to adopt from your local animal shelter. There are many loving animals that are at shelters waiting for a loving home. You can find me most of the time on Flickr where I have a photostream!
