My daily life (when I have time to post) of living in Northwestern Massachusetts in the Berkshire mountains. My photos of the area and when possible, photos of wildlife and my tiny garden which I'm trying to attract wildlife with. Also my beliefs in the environment and protecting it as well as astronomy and space travel.

Revelations Chapter 8
AND I SAW THE SEVEN ANGELS WHICH STOOD BEFORE GOD; AND TO THEM WERE GIVEN SEVEN TRUMPETS.
AND ANOTHER ANGEL CAME AND STOOD AT THE ALTAR, HAVING A GOLDEN CENSER; AND THER WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM MUCH INCENSE, THAT HE
SHOULD OFFER IT WITH PRAYERS OF ALL SAINTS UPON THE GOLDEN ALTAR WHICH WAS BEFORE THE THRONE.
AND THE SMOKE OF THE INCENSE, WHICH CAME, WITH THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS, ASCENDED UP BEFORE GOD OUT OF THE ANGEL'S HAND.
AND THE ANGEL TOOK THE CENSER, AND FILLED IT WITH FIRE OF THE ALTAR, AND CAST IT INTO THE EARTH: ANDTHERE WERE VOICES AND THUNDERINGS, AND LIGHTNINGS, AND AN EARTHQUAKE.
AND THE SEVEN ANGELS WHICH HAD THE SEVEN TRUMPETS PREPARED THEMSELVES TO SOUND.
THE FIRST ANGEL SOUNDED, AND THERE FOLLOWED HAIL AND THE FIRE MINGLED WITH BLOOD, AND THEY WERE CAST UPON THE EARTH: AND THE THIRD PART OF TREES WAS BURNT UP, AND ALL GREEN GRASS WAS BURNT UP.
AND THE SECOND ANGEL SOUNDED, AND AS IT WERE A GREAT MOUNTAIN BURNING WITH FIRE WAS CAST INTO THE SEA: AND THE THIRD PART OF THE SEA BECAME BLOOD;
AND THE THIRD PART OF THE SEA CREATURES WHICH WERE IN THE SEA, AND HAD LIFE, DIED; AND THE THIRD PART OF THE SHIPS WERE DESTROYED.
AND THE THIRD ANGEL SOUNDED, AND THERE FELL A GREAT STAR FROM HEAVEN, BURNING AS IT WERE A LAMP, AND IT FELL UPON THE THIRD PART OF THE RIVERS, AND UPON THE FOUNTAINS OF WATERS;
AND THE NAME OF THE STAR IS CALLED WORMWOOD: AND THE THIRD PART OF THE WATERS BECAME WORMWOOD; AND MANY MEN DIED OF THE WATERS, BECAUSE THEY MADE BITTER.
AND THE FOURTH ANGEL SOUNDED, AND THE THIRD PART OF THE SUN WAS SMITTEN, AND THE THIRD PART OF THE MOON, AND THIRD PART OF THE STARS; SO AS THE THIRD PART OF THEM WAS DARKENED, AND THE DAY SHONE NOT FOR A THIRD PART OF IT, AND THE NIGHT LIKEWISE.
AND I BEHELD AND HEARD AN ANGEL FLYING THROUGH THE MIDST OF HEAVEN, SAYING WITH A LOUD VOICE, WOE, WOE, WOE TO THE INHABITERS OF THE EARTH BY REASON OF THE OTHER VOICES OF THE TRUMPET OF THE THREE ANGELS, WHICH ARE YET TO SOUND!
BBC News - BP says new Gulf oil leak plan 'not guaranteed' to work
Key west and the beautiful blue waters. Good bye white sand beaches and gulls flying over. Say goodbye to the precarious life
of the Brown Pelican, now they're endangered again!! Say goodbye to the once endangered egrets, now they're endangered again.
Every marine bird, sea turtle, etc. that was endangered before and was finally taken off the endangered list will now have to go back on that list. Yes, this is really very, very heartbreaking. And the Dolphins!! They're our friends!!! How could
we do this to the poor dolphins????God help all the sea creatures, God help the fisherman and God help our blue planet STAY BLUE.

Boat scouring surface off Grand Isle area - Yahoo! News Photos
What's it going to take to make BP stop being a coward company and get off their butts
and do something! This may make its way to Alabama, Florida and possibly up the east coast if it flows into the Gulf Stream! This is serious and something for all of us to be concerned about, not just the people in the Gulf of Mexico!!

This photomontage must shock… It represents soiled hands by polluter's behaviors on the Environment …
I would want that we are all conscious of negative impact that we can have on our Environment while adopting a lack of interest, negligent and/or ignorance behavior… to having chosen, since so many years, to be unaware of the risk linked to the exploitations of the off-shores, we rendered all responsible of what has just arrived… that does me hurt my heart for the wildlife and the flora threatened by this oil spill, and, for the local populations, who lived fishing and tourism…
Even if this worldwide economical crisis touched all us, we cannot continue to leave to produce itself of such pollution before acting… It is time to adopt responsible and solidarity behaviors for the protection of our Mother Earth… These solidarity behaviors will be reflected afterward on the social… and towards go out of the crisis…
I would wish that all together, we thank all the mobilized persons to attempt to stop this flow and to protect what again can be it save… Personally if I lived on the spot, I would have rejoined the courageous volunteers… Then, to all the Americans that can help, done it please, for the love of our Mother Earth…
Think about the Earth Day and this why this worldwide event was created (April 22, 1970, thanks to the senator Gaylord Nelson), and of there, the creation of the EPA in December 1970…
There is no longer any political membership when it is a matter to protect the Environment… It is time to act together and for the better one of all…
The LIFE (under all its forms) deserves to be lived for beautiful realizations. Small hands to the big hands, we all can realize big things for humanity, to become it future generations…

What a beautiful sight!! Too bad our President is so short sighted as not to see America's future in space and cut NASA's budget. This is the last shuttle launch. Pathetic and sad. So what now, we will have to depend on other countries to send things to the Space Station. I am really PO'd at our President for doing such a moronic thing. He has NO VISION whatsoever!!

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL KLAATU SPEAKS
I think the scene where the guy is interviewing Klaatu is sooo funny! I like it when Klaatu asks him what size his suit is and pulls a stunt right out of an Indiana Jones movie where he steals the guy's suit! Priceless! "You should let me go..." darn right he should have! LOL!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE and I LOVE Keanu Reeves playing this role and he's a really good actor!
The Day The Earth Stood Still (12A) ***
This movie was great! I really liked Keanu Reeves in this. He could play Mr. Spock in a new Star Trek remake!! So emotionless! But you see towards the end, he shows some feeling. I think it was a really good movie. Definite message to us all, take care of our planet or our planet won't take care of us!!

Blossom Explosion!
Blossom Explosion!

Due to the abnormally warm weather up here, everything seems to be blooming at one time!
The haze in the background is POLLEN. It has been making me sick for about a week! Even as I was out taking these photos, I started coughing big time! How can so much beauty cause so much misery!
I took this photo on May 4th. Right now on May 10th we're bracing for
freezing temps that might ruin the apple crops. I'm praying that it won't get that cold and that my flowers will be okay. So many of my flower (perennials especially) art starting to bloom!! They are about 3 weeks ahead of normal blooming time. I just pray they make it until the weather gets settled. I have some Asiatic lilies that want to put out buds soon. A freeze (below 32 degrees F) could kill them!!
We're having some really WEIRD weather this year.
This photo I took down the road at our neighbor's house, the ones that own the farm of which most of this land consists.
About Me
- anslatadams
- I can be very social, but then a recluse. I like my privacy when I'm working in my flower garden. I like to meditate there with God and the birds and the flowers. I love animals, all God's creatures and I can't stand people that abuse them! I strongly urge anyone that wants a pet to adopt from your local animal shelter. There are many loving animals that are at shelters waiting for a loving home. You can find me most of the time on Flickr where I have a photostream!
