The blues in this photo are so beautiful!! What a beautiful shot!
My daily life (when I have time to post) of living in Northwestern Massachusetts in the Berkshire mountains. My photos of the area and when possible, photos of wildlife and my tiny garden which I'm trying to attract wildlife with. Also my beliefs in the environment and protecting it as well as astronomy and space travel.

We've had Freckles, our dog, since I think the year 2000. I rescued her off of a busy expressway in Augusta, Georgia. She was standing on the grassy median between the eastbound and westbound traffic. All I saw seems like her terrified big brown eyes. I knew I had to grab her before she stepped into the traffic!! I pulled over first place I could find waited for the traffic to clear and crossed 3 lanes to get to her. I grabbed her, never fearing that she would bite me, all I knew is I had to save her. We got back to the truck I put her in and immediately she
curled up on the floor on the passenger side and looked like she had a smile on her face and panting. Whew!! She had no collar and we never could find her owner. So she became part of our family, and that's been 10 years ago. She is so affectionate and follows me everywhere and is very protective of us, but especially me. She's like my guardian angel and now she protects our two cats, too!
A rooting of my other defunct pink Geranium is blooming and I'm so
thrilled! Geraniums are easy to root, the best time being late spring or early summer. Just break off a fat stem of a Geranium ( at least 1/4 to 1/2" in diameter or larger and take off all the leaves except for the very top ones. Stick it in some rich potting soil or better yet, use Miracle Gro potting mix. Water it just until the soil is moist, not soggy. Watch
it daily, maybe put in partial shade or if in full sun watch to see when
the soil feels dry to the touch and water again. Your little branch should root within about 2 weeks and possibly bloom after about 3 weeks! Try it and see. Geraniums are susceptible to root rot, so that's why you don't want the soil to be too waterlogged.
